The Quick Look video site has posted up a 45 minute video of the upcoming Atlus game, Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble. The game is set for release November 10th for the PSP.
Quick Look: Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble
Sorry, I would try to offer up criticism of some sort for this game, but seriously, I’ve never been much into fighting style games. In short, this game really couldn’t interest me less, however, for those that it does interest, it seems to be getting positive reviews. Sorry, I will forever be an RPG gamer, but please guys, tell me what you think of the game.

For those of you who were planning to purchase the Playstation Network version of SMT: Persona ONLY will find that they will have to wait a few more days than those who are planning on getting the retail version sold in stores.
While those who are buying the UMD will have their copies by 9/22, the digital is now set for release on 10/1.
Just yet ANOTHER reason why you should purchase the in-store product. Remember, ONLY the UMD version will come with a 2-disc soundtrack.

In their latest Faithful e-mail, Atlus announced a new youtube video for the upcoming PSP game Shin Megami Tensei: Persona. The video is a seven and a half minute walkthrough voiced by A.R.A.M. Jabarri and designed to show you the many features you will find in this game. Shin Megami Tensei: Persona is a remake of the original Playstation game Revelations: Persona and is due to be released September 22nd.

Thunderbolt website has updated with an interview of the SMT: Persona localization team. The team included in the interview includes: A.R.A.M. (an acronym for Advertising, Resources, And Marketing) Jabarri, Atlus’s hidden PR representative. Nich Maragos, Atlus’s lead editor. And Scott Stritchart, QA lead and editor. (Atlus Faithfuls should AT LEAST know ARAM Jabarri and Nich! They are the main writers, afterall!)
It’s a very interesting read, both in light of the game itself as well as offering more background into some of the work that goes into localizing games. Particularly since it’s an Shin Megami Tensei title, a long running series with lots of mythologies from various cultures. I’m always amazed at how well they can handle these things. (And they always get stuck with it, look at Izuna and Etrian Odyssey for further examples.)
In case you needed reminding: the game is scheduled for release September 22 and is a remake for the PSP.
My thoughts on the game: I don’t own a PSP, saddly. This, along with Class of Heroes, is yet another reason why I wish to own one. Well, there are several other games I want for it, too, but I’m just here to talk about Atlus now, aren’t I?

Atlus pleases its fans once again by “spoiling” another game. Atlus USA has announced that with every copy of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona a 2-disc bonus soundtrack will be included. It is the FULL soundtrack, according to the Faithful e-mail. You can view some of the tunes on the website: SMT: Persona – it’s at the bottom right of the website and provides four sample tracks.
The Shin Megami Tensei: Persona website has also been updated with other material. In addition to new character bios being added, new video footage has been added as well.
The game has been scheduled for release September 22 and is a remake for the PSP.

Atlus USA has announced that the original Shin Megami Tensei: Persona will be released for the PSP.
This game, a remake of Atlus’s original title Revelations: Persona for the Playstation, has been enhanced with new features including new music, new animations, an all-new location, and a new Snow Queen chapter.
The game is set to release September 22. Not only will you get a copy of the game, but each game package will be complete with a special soundtrack CD.
The official website has also been launched for those hoping to view a few more screenshots and other material.
The game’s story is set, very similarly to Persona3 and Persona4, around a group of teenagers. A rumor around their school has it that if you play a game known as Persona that you will get to meet you future self. However, when the main character and his friends try it, nothing seems to happen…. at first….
Also released in the past by Atlus (but saddly not on their youtube page) was the newest cutscene opening for the game. I managed to find it on youtube for anyone who is interested in watching. Please view it under the cut. Click Here to Read the Full Entry » »
