The image says it all and I’m stuck in class at the moment, haha. No, I won’t do this too often, I promise.

Released by Atlus on Twitter and on their forums:
“Early reports from the Kingdom of Boletaria indicate that the Old One’s power grows,” announced Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales for Atlus, shuffling awkwardly under the weight of his full set of fluted armor. “We’ve discovered that the nefarious Demon will seek to descend the land in pure blackness on All Hallow’s Eve. His minions will be more powerful, but the rewards for those who seek to challenge them will be greater as well. We don’t know how long this dark tendency will last, but we do advise those prone to controller-into-LCD syndrome to proceed carefully.” Jabbari then cackled as he quickly put a Thief’s ring on his finger and disappeared.
Sounds like Halloween is going to be fun for those who play Demon’s Souls online…. *sob* I wish I owned a PS3… GYAAAAH!!

Obviously Apparently, Atlus’s newest game for the PS3, Demon’s Souls, has hit with tremendous acclaim. So much so that Atlus will be releasing a second shipment of the game.
Probably not a first for Atlus, but definitely worth note considering Atlus’ marketing scheme: copies released based on pre-orders. Well, it’s just great to see that Atlus is getting a lot of fame thrown its way. More money = more games brought over, right. Haha.
*Sob* I just wish I owned a PS3. Blast it all!

Important message from Atlus: Tonight, Atlus released a special PR request, asking those in the gaming press to explain a very important detail regarding Demon’s Souls, being released this coming Tuesday.
This is important, so anyone purchasing the game must read this!
The game is set for release October 6th. Got that? Good, because it’s important. For anyone that might pick the game up BEFORE October 6th is going to have some problems with the game. If you attempt to play the game BEFORE October 6th, you will immediately get an error and be forced to play offline.
The official North American servers will not be running until October 6th!!
Got it? So, just because you get the game early, that’s all great, but not all features will be made immediately available. Well, then, good luck, and have fun playing the game this 6th!

By the way, how is this approach to announcing articles? Should I continue doing it this way, listing a bunch a week or two before the game comes out or would you rather I try announcing them around the same as when they’ve been posted/I’ve found them/Atlus Twitters it?

Atlus has posted another blog entry for its upcoming PS3 game Demon’s Souls. Actually, this one was quite a few days ago, but for some reason Atlus never sent out one of its Faithful e-mails to announce it, so I missed it. Well, such is life…
Here we go, this particular article discusses the DIFFICULTY in the game. One of the things that I’ve seen more frequently attacked here and there in some articles I’ve read… well, there’s a little more to it than that, but you’ll just have to read those articles when I get them posted up later on today (probably right after this article).
Demon’s Souls #5: Difficulty

This fifth entry in the official Demon’s Souls blog addresses the game’s challenge level, something that has been discussed extensively.
Challenging, yes… but unfair?
A lot of folks have made a big deal about how challenging Demon’s Souls is. We should know; at times, we’ve been the first to suggest as much. Few games kill the player off quite as many times as Demon’s Souls, or offer quite as many situations where even one mistake can prove fatal. In the end, however, it serves to greatly amplify the player’s sense of accomplishment when an obstacle is overcome.
Why is it so hard? (that’s what she said)
First off, we feel it is important to stress that Demon’s Souls is tough, but it is not unfair. There are almost no surprises, at least after the first time through an area, and few scenarios that break the established rule set and player expectations. A lot of games generate their difficulty by throwing sudden and unexpected things at the player, or by introducing completely unfamiliar challenges. After 30 minutes in the Kingdom of Boletaria, it is safe to say that most players will rarely be surprised again (being on the edge of their seat is another matter entirely).
In many ways, it isn’t what Demon’s Souls does that makes it harder than other games as much as what it doesn’t do. The game does not hold the player’s hand. Beyond the first tutorial area, almost all of the tips the player will receive will come from other human adventurers through the game’s messaging system. (And if you don’t have an internet connection, you’re going to have to depend on yourself.)

Atlus has posted the fourth entry in the official Demon’s Souls blog hosted on their forums. Demon’s Souls is a game set to release October 6th for the Playstation 3.
The entry talks more about the gameplay of Demon’s Souls. Specifically, the Tendancy System which has a big impact on your character and the places you can go.
This Official Atlus Blog entry was written by Richard Rodrigues, the Quality Assurance Lead.
Demon’s Souls #4: World Tendency System

Part 4 of Demon’s Souls: The Official Blog aims to fully explain the unique World Tendency System and how your actions and decisions can have a dramatic affect on the game world and your experience in it.
Introduction to World Tendency System
In Demon’s Souls, your actions in the world of Boletaria will weigh heavily against your character. This should be familiar to all you gamers out there—maybe you’ve experienced it in the form of “morality,” “karma,” or by another name before. In the world of Demon’s Souls, it’s known as Tendency, and it’s attributed to both your character and each of the regions you’ll traverse.
When you begin play, both Character and World Tendencies start off at neutral. Depending on your actions, they can shift to white or black (Captain Obvious chiming in: good deeds make it go white while… yeah, you get it). But of course, it isn’t as simple as being either black or white, as there are shades along the way that determine the level of Tendency’s effects. So if you’re just a little evil, enemies will only be a little more difficult to down, whereas if you’re a true miscreant, well then you’ve gone and made an already brutally difficult game a lot more brutal.

Last night, Demon’s Souls website finally launched. On the site you can find tons of screenshots, some story information, the trailer, some downloadable media, and purchase information.
Like most other Atlus websites, there’s a lot that still remains to be unlocked which will be done slowly overtime. Characters, server status, and even a wiki link are not yet available, as well as a few other links here and there.
Hopefully this will help ease those impatient fans out there and give them something to while away the time and look forward to.
Demon’s Souls is scheduled for release October 6th for the PS3.
